Registering for World Microbe Forum requires a FREE ASM user account. If you have an ASM user account, log in with your email address and password to proceed to registration. If you don’t have an ASM user account, please enter your name and email address. Your email address will be verified to make sure you are not already in the system before you create a new account. Creating an account is required to register for the meeting, but does not obligate you to become an ASM member.
To qualify for an ASM member registration rate, follow these instructions:
ASM Members
- Log in with your ASM membership username and password to access your ASM account by clicking on the login button below. This will take you to the Dashboard where you can start the registration process.
- Your member/nonmember standing for World Microbe Forum registration is based on your 2021 ASM membership status.
- If you have not renewed or joined for 2021, please visit https://asm.org/Membership/Home prior to registering.
- ASM Supporting Members do not qualify for the ASM member rate. Please register as a non-member or upgrade your membership.
ASM Student Members
- Your member/nonmember standing for World Microbe Forum registration is based on your 2021 ASM membership status.
- If you have not renewed or joined for 2021, please visit https://asm.org/Membership/Home prior to registering.
- You must be an ASM student member to qualify for the student member rate.

FEMS Society and Other Supporting Society Members
- During the registration process, you will be asked to identify your membership affiliation. If you identify as a member of the FEMS society or one of the other supporting scientific societies you will receive the member rate.
- Your member standing for World Microbe Forum registration is based on your current membership status at the time of registration.
- If your membership status has lapsed, you will be contacted by your member society and your registration status will be changed to non-member at the non-member registration rate.
